The ATS has a simple third party widget installed on the portal's Jobs page that helps the employer create a talent pool of job seekers and uses email marketing to drive those job seekers back to the employer’s career site when new jobs are posted.
A large percentage of job seekers who visit a career site leave without ever completing an application. There are many reasons why job seekers leave without applying, including not seeing the right job in the right location, not having time to apply and not having the right information on hand to apply in that moment.
The ATS has a simple third party widget installed on the portal's Jobs page that helps the employer create a talent pool of job seekers and uses email marketing to drive those job seekers back to the employer’s career site when new jobs are posted. It allows job seekers to sign up to receive email notifications of new jobs that get posted to the company's career site.
How it works:
The job alert subscription widget appears on both the main jobs page as well as on each individual job listing page. The goal for the job alert tool is not to attract people applying for jobs, but instead to focus completely on people who visit and leave without the employer ever even learning their names.
Job site visitors may sign up to receive notifications by entering their first and last names, email address and selecting a state within the United States before clicking the "Send Me Jobs" button.
Next, they would continue through the process to create their personalized job alert which includes the option decided upon by the subscriber to receive information about similar jobs from other employers. This step is decided upon by the individual who is subscribing to your job alerts.
If the subscribers choose to receive daily or weekly alerts from other employers, then they will be instructed to input a job title that piques their interest. This is similar in concept to individuals visiting a job board and searching for a particular category of job where they would see your job listing(s) along with similar job listings from other companies.
The subscribers then have the choice to upload a resume file to the Refer.io database.
If the subscribers opt to only receive job alerts from your company, the subscribers will still see the option to upload his/her resume to the Refer.io database.
Whether the subscribers upload a resume in the Refer.io database or choose not to upload a resume, once the subscription steps have been completed, a confirmation message will be shown.
Site visitors who create job alerts will start receiving alerts within a week. A confirmation email with your company’s name in the closing signature will be sent to the subscriber’s email address inputted in the subscription process. Future job alert notification emails will arrive to the subscriber’s email inbox from Ryan Kay who is affiliated with Refer.io.
As Administrator of your ATS, you can request this tool be removed; however, if it is removed from your ATS, viewers of your job board will no longer be able to sign up for job alerts to notify them that you have posted new jobs.
