Job Board Ad Body vs Formatted Ad Description

The Job Board Ad Body is the small amount of text that an applicant sees on a job board before clicking on the job for more information.  The Formatted Ad Description is the detailed information that is revealed.

Job Templates make the process of creating new job listings quicker and more efficient...and they ensure that consistent information is used for future listings. This can be especially helpful if you have several jobs with similar job descriptions to post over a longer period of time. It is important to create templates and jobs with care to ensure the most accurate and detailed information is being pushed to your job boards. In this article, you will learn the differences between the Job Board Ad Body and the Formatted Ad Description.

The "Job Board Ad Body" is the "preview" or the small amount of text that an applicant sees on a job board before clicking on the job for more information.  The "Formatted Ad Description" is the detailed information that is revealed once an applicant clicks on your job listing in order to obtain more details.

On your applicant-facing ATS site, the Career Site Ad Title and Career Site Ad Description will appear accordingly.
When your job listing matches a search done by an applicant, the Job Board Ad Body will appear.
Once the applicant clicks to view more information about your posting, the Formatted Ad Description will be shown to the applicant in its entirety.
